You shouldn't be worried at all! People who think that one race should date and marry their own "kind" are racists! We are all adult human beings and are free to do whatever makes us feel comfortable. As long as you're happy, screw what other people think!

No, we are all mixed if you take history into consideration. I look white, my hubby is black and we have 3 beautiful children. Most people don't even seem to think anything about it, yet there are some that give dirty looks and the like. The color of ones skin is just that, it is who the person is and what kind of person they are as to what matters. If you and your boy like or love each other, don't worry about what any one else thinks. As far as ya'lls friends that think it is weird, maybe you two should really look at those friendships, because if they are true friends that care about you/him/both of ya'll, then they would not think it is weird.... they would just be happy that the two of ya'll are happy being with each other.

You and your boyfriend should sit down and understand many people have hang ups about interracial dating. There will be times when people will look and point. Some may be so dumb, they'll open their mouths and utter strange things. Others will stare because they wish they had the guts to be true to their hearts. In any case, you both have to be on the same page. As in any relationship, there will be challenges. You don't need any headaches from those who are rascally ignorant. Trust, I've been in the very same plight.

I don't think it's a concern. I'm Caucasian, my wife is Hispanic, we've been very happily married for over 30 years with a 29 year old daughter and 27 year old son.
Ethnicity is irrelevant, either you are married to the wrong person or you're not.
All of us know hundreds of Caucasians married to other Caucasians which end in divorce. The same with Latinos, Vietnamese, African-American, and on and on and on.
If you're in love, it can work.
Best of luck,
It has worked for me for 30 years.

You should only be concerned if YOU have a problem with it. Not sure what they think is "weird" about it, but it isn't any of their business anyway. If your FAMILY has a problem with it, that may or may not be a different story. Only YOU can decide for yourself how much control you are going to give other people over YOUR decisions. I sure as hell wouldn't be concerned about other people's problem with the color scheme.

I have no problems with it at all. The only problem (I wouldn't even call it a problem) I see is washing out your race... I do not care what people do... but eventually there will be no white people. (that will be kinda funny and ironic actually) Blonde hair and blue eyes will be eliminated sense they are not dominating traits. . which I guess isn't a bad thing...
*shrugs*
As long as y'all are happy... just be happy. Don't worry about anyone else.

Race should not matter at all. What if it is true that each of us has only one soulmate? What if that soulmate is someone of a different race? Does that mean that we should sacrifice that person, sacrifice what we rightfully deserve, in order to follow what our society dictates?
You should not be concerned about your relationship with your boyfriend, and instead be concerned about the fact that you have allowed close-minded people to infiltrate your life.

The questions should be, does he love me, do I love him. If the answer is yes, than that is what matters. There are always people who feel interracial is bad, but in reality it's the only way we are going to get rid of racism, when we are all one big mess and can no longer figure out what nationality we are.
