It is the taste! Diet Coke is not as sweet but Coke Zero is kinda halfway between the sweetness of Diet Coke and regular Coke. Both have zero calories, so no sugar or fat in either. The sweetening ingredient is the difference.

As far as i understand diet coke still has a view calories, may be one or two calories worth of sugar in it. Zero Sugar coke by the name I feel might not contain any sugar so should imply zero calories. Can't really belive it though. But the concept of a Zero calorie coke is surely exciting.

I only like coke from glass bottles tried diet coke once and did not like the taste I find lots of people don't like diet coke! so I wonder if maybe is just some sort of badge engineering ploy cos at one time diet coke was just about the only diet soft drink on the market now it seems every well known flavour soft drink has a diet version on the market and most of them taste a lot more like the non diet version than diet coke do,s !

I have been told by a dietician that normal coke and diet coke are the same. Their only 1 calorie policy apparently does not refer to the whole can but a part of it so ends up just the same. But can we really trust the medics these days? Yet you cant seem to trust the marketing ploys of multinational companies either!

The marketing angle for coke zero is to make it more appealing to men, as they think diet coke is a girls drink

Coke Zero - i believe, was sweetened with Splenda only when it first came out....I saw the new diet coke can at store yesterday, now there probably is no difference at all.

One sweetener is Aspartame the other is Splenda. Different side effects from both.

Coke Zero is supposed to have zero calories. Diet Coke has less than one calorie, but there is still some caloric intake.
