Find a good breeder by going to www.akc.org or talking to people at dog shows. You can also find info about the breed clubs on the akc site - they probably have a rescue group where you can get an older dog for less money. The best breeders will be members of their breed club, promoting healthy dogs with great temperaments. They should ask you a bunch of questions to make sure their puppy will be getting a good home. If all a "breeder" seems to care about is whether your check will clear, you can be sure he won't care a week later when the pup is dying from distemper or parvo and you want your money back.
Whatever you do, DON'T go to a pet shop, a flea market or buy one sight-unseen off the Internet!!!! You'll pay top dollar for what is usually a poor quality puppy mill dog. And you'll be supporting one of the cruelest industries in the country. The breeding animals are often kept in deplorable conditions - spending their entire lives in small wire-bottomed cages. They probably haven't been vaccinated against contagious diseases or tested for any health or temperament problems or genetic diseases - that costs money and cuts into their profits. A female is often bred every time she comes into heat. When her poor little body can't take it any more, she is often clubbed in the head and tossed into a dumpster or an open ditch. Most puppy mills ship their pups to pet stores at wholesale prices and many pups die before they even get there.
These so-called "breeders" have now figured out that they can use the internet to ship a dog directly to the customer and thus make more money by cutting out the middleman. If you buy a dog from out of state, good luck getting your money back if there's something wrong with the pup. These people count on you becoming instantly attached to the poor little guy and being willing to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars at the vet to treat whatever is wrong with him.

Ummmm my guess just by the website address is that they are a puppymill with no doubt. Haven't even gone to the site and I can almost guarantee it.
Well I just went and peeked at this site, scrolling through some of the breeds there is no way in hell I would buy from there. Some of the puppies look absolutely Sickly, people posted puppies on there with hips bones and ribs sticking out, just awful. Find a reputable breeder for the breed you are in search of. They first will not need to post their pups on a site like that, and secondly you would get a REAL purebred, half the dogs on there look mixed breed.

I'll go check them out and get back to you...
Edit: Here's your answer... I checked Bostons since I know that breed best.
"The Boston Terrier breeders listed below are not pre-screened nor are any of the breeders listed in our dog breeder directory. Next Day Pets accepts no responsibilty for the dog breeders said commitments, guarantees, reputation or quality of service. We encourage you to interview the Boston Terrier dog breeders and to become knowledgeable about what is called the dog breed standards before purchasing a puppy."
In other words, any breeder can list anything they want here. It would be a great outlet for puppy mills and bad breeders! They don't have to pass any inspections or answer any questions.
Instead, go to the AKC website and go through their breeder listings. All of those breeders are in high standing with the AKC, which means they haven't violated any of the rules or guidelines the AKC imposes upon breeders. To find a listing of breeders for a particular breed, go to http://www.akc.org and go to "Breeds". Find the breed you are interested in, and there will be a link on the left side of the page that will take you to breeder listings for that breed.
Good luck!

do not be tempted to do this. There are fairly breeders/rescue centres close to you? hazard is you will section which contain your money and by no ability see your puppy (there are some horrific scams occurring merely now), or at superb, discover your puppy is a sickly animal. except you recognize the breeder - possibly have references from a chum residing interior of sight etc., do not purchase a puppy on line. you ought to consistently see the muddle, with their mum, and the circumstances wherein they are being reared.

yes i am almost positive it is true and besides you need to meet the dog before you buy her/him i go to shelters and rescues because it feels really good to help out the animals and the best dogs that i have got have been from the shelter, and they have all types of dog: purebred, mutt, puppies, full grown, already trained, and lots more

THAT'S THE CRAZIEST THING I EVER HEARD.
FIRST OF ALL WHEN BUYING A PUPPY YOU HAVE TO GET THEM CHECKED OUT JUST LIKE YOU WOULD IF YOU WHERE BUYING A USED CAR. YOU WOULD DO THIS TO INSURE THAT YOU ARE BUYING A HEALTHY ANIMAL . YOU SHOULD ALSO FIND OUT WHAT THE PUPPY'S TEMPERAMENT IS . THAT'S WHY YOU SHOULD ALWAYS BUY FROM A LOCAL PET BOUTIQUE
HOW WOULD YOU RECEIVE THE PUPPY? VIA FEDERAL UPS?

buy a dog from the humane society!! we did.. it is virtually fool proof because they will do everything in their power to help you find the right pet for you! dont buy animals from pet stores or online pet shops, many of these come from puppy mills where dogs are treated cruelly and many are ill and malnourished-- all for money!! buy a dog from a respectable breeder or go to your local humane society. try www.petfinder.com to find a breeder, humane society, or rescue near you!!!

NO! But why would you want to? It's cruel to ship an animal like that and stupid to purchase an animal you've never seen.
UPDATE: I just checked it out and doesn't look so bad, they list animals in shelters so that's good but I would be VERY careful.
