Testing a missile is one thing. If they launch a successful attack against us, then yeah, we should retaliate. What makes you think that anyone here would oppose reacting to a direct attack? War will always cause instability in a democracy because some people will protest any military action. After 9/11 we knew Al-Quida was the culprit, right? We invaded Afghanistan and I don't remember much protest to that action. It was the war with Iraq that got protested because of the flimsy reasons for going there. That's all over now, though. We are there and we have to stay there until they can protect themselves.
If another nation directly attacked America, America would support disabling that country's ability to launch such attacks.
No, we should not 'support our country in war no matter what the cause'. If the cause is unjust or made on flimsy, ethereal facts that never materialize, than the architects of that war should be held accountable for their actions which led to thousands of deaths and have cost tens of billions of American tax dollars.
Should we back our leaders even if they lead us into shame, ruin, and disrepute?

If North Korea seriously was as stupid as to launch a missile and actually hit an American city, which they don't seem to be capable of anyway, then of course we should retaliate ... but IF the U.S. went to war with N Korea because they tested their missiles, that would be overkill big time ... so scenario 1, yes, I would support it, scenario 2, no, I wouldn't support it ....

American have no choice than to support it, you rather be in or leave the country to another place, perhap venezuela, or cuba, that will be far safer for any one that does not support it, then actually is better to pray it does not come to pass, the might of North Korea is what is giving THE PRESIDENT a quiet time, the other side Allied are getting themselves ready when we did not plan a war at all, the Russia,China,Iran,Palestine,Venezuela,Cuba, all Arabs Nations except few, are the other allied and it will be difficult when crowds are divided

To hell with your place in the world. There are Nazis in the White house who murdered 3000 people when they deliberately took down the Twin Towers. These Nazis want to conquer the world for oil and profit.North Korea is just telling them that they will not be bullied like Iraq.North Korea has no intentions of starting a battle they cannot possibly win.The Bush Nazis count on the fact that the American people blindly follow their president right or wrong.Wake up and think for yourself.Try going to Video.google.com or google.video.com and punch in 911 in the search engine and have fun watching the truth for a change rather than the propaganda spewed out by Fox and CNN.

There is something seriously wrong with anyone that would WANT to wage a war on another group of human beings. The key word here being "want". It is understandable to fight if you have to fight. Or to fight for your actual freedom...not the so-called freedom that we are fighting for right now in Iraq. But to wage war on a country just because they have caught up to the technology level that USA is at is no reason to begin to fight. Just because they have "threatened" to test this missle does not mean that the second we turn our backs they will fire it. The morals of this country are going seriously down-hill, morals such as peace, harmony, love, and even respect. Why is it so much easier to bomb a country out of existence than to try and sit down and talk about it?

I don't think war is something that should be supported period. The lives of many soliders, sailors and marines are being lost. If North Korea strikes first, who is going to be the people who answer the call to arms: the millitary (myself included). I don't think we support war, I think the american people supports the military. And to answer our question, I do believe the US will be in support of defending your country against whatever threat.

If N. Korea attacked us, I certainly would support retaliation. I might even support it if Kim continues down the path he is on, but I would more likely be supportive of just takeing him out. That guy is a nut ball. did you know that the first time he ever played golf he hit 36 under par?

We would have to do something about it because firing a missle, whether it hits your country or just goes over it, constitutes as an act of war, meaning N. Korea would have declared war on the US and we would have to protect our people.

why would N korea fire missile at the strongest country in the world/? a country who can destroy the entire N korea with a few nuclies...??
and think about it, China is N korea's ally, would u want to see China fight USA???? would anyone support that??
all north korea did was testing it missiles, they did not aim at anyone... and usa all of a sudden made it into the headlines.
tens of other countries test their missiles everyday, did usa give a fuss about them?

We may not agree with it, unless they try and send a nuke, but we always ALWAYS support our country. That's what makes us so strong. And if for some reason we didn't support it, this wouldn't give N. Korea the upperhand. The government could still handle it without our support.
