Okay, I figure you'd like to add subtitles to a video to burn to dvd, right?

Well, far as I know, Nero doesn't support the import of .srt files or any homemade subs for that matter; actually, it doesn't even work with the official retail dvd subtitle files separately from overall dvd files.

The easiest option would be to add the subs *permanently* to the video prior to encoding to dvd.

To do that, you'll need Subtitle Workshop http://www.urusoft.net/products.php?cat=sw&lang=1

All of these apps, by the way, are free.

If it's not recognizing the files then I would re-install the program.
