Drinking has effects on your body whether you had alcohol just before or not. It slows your reactions because it is a depressant, as opposed to substances that speed you up (speed, duh). Alcohol can have short term effects as well as long term ones. In the short term, if you binge, your system may reject it because you are essentially poisoning yourself. You may throw up or worst case, your system shuts down. People have died of alcohol poisoning, so be careful. Long term, of course, affects your liver, for one. I'm not up on all my side effects, but there's a few I'm sure you could find out about on the net. But as for specifically drinking after you've been drunk, I don't think it changes the already existing risks of drinking. My best advice is don't drink to get over a hangover (i.e.hair of the dog). Have some water and wait for a while at least. ;)

I think drunks have less brain matter when they die. They take out their brains and weigh them.

Now that's for drunks, I dunno about light drinkers. But that's suppose to help your heart too.
