There are four principal types: A, B, AB, and O. Those split into positive and negative (example: A+ or A-). I know that I am a O+. I can only recieve blood from other Os. However, I can give blood to any of the other groups except for A-, B-, or O-.

I'm O negative. I can give blood to anybody.
The main blood types are A, B, AB, and O.
I believe that negatives can give to positives but positives cannot give to negatives.
