I have had experience with this! My boyfriend is in the Army, and has been deployed to Iraq twice. He'd leave for six months, come back for two weeks, then leave for another six months. We have been separated a lot! The first thing I do is just hug hum, just feel him next to me again, knowing that he's okay. Then I kiss him for obvious reasons. And while a lot of people might think you automatically go off and have sex after such a long separation, we usually go for a walk, hold hands, and just talk. Then I jump him.
