I'm going to see Avenue Q and Spamalot in a couple of weeks, on separate days, both starting at 8pm. Where is a good place to get a late dinner afterwards that is not too hard to get to? I'd like to eat in a place that is not more than around $30 per plate. If you mention a place, please let me know if I'll need reservations if you can. Thanks!

Hop on the bus, go to the Village, plenty of places in that range.

Joe Allen's! celebrity's visit this restaurant! make a reservation. be sure to let the restaurant know what play you are seeing. they will make the reservation for the time the play lets out. not expensive. ask for a table when you walk in around the bar area. you will be able to see celebrity's enter or leave. i have been 3 times. the first time i saw 8 celebrity's including Michael J. Fox and Nathan Lane. the second time nobody showed up. the 3rd time Al Pacino stopped by our table on the way out and spoke to us. the food is good!

Tintol is a Portuguese restaurant on 46th between 6th and 7th/Broadway. The food is delicious, but not authentically Portuguese. The staff looked at me funny when I spoke to them in Portuguese. Havana Central (Cuban) on the same block is also good.

You've got to go to Carmine's on 44th Street. It's famous for after-theater dinner and drinks.

You'll need to make reservations well in advance, especially if you're going o a Friday or Saturday night.

Hope that helps!
