similar addresses of respectable sites. For example www . whitehouse . com is a porn
site. The real address is www. whitehouse . gov
3. Never click on Web site addresses that you receive in an unsolicited email.
4. Do not open attachments that come in email that are unsolicited.
5. Use filtered search engines or reputable directories to find the information you
need.
6. Do not search for terms like girls. Think before you enter a search term.
Stick with reputable sites.
If something looks questionable, don't let curiosity get the best of you. Delete it or
close the window.

Get rid of everything you have, burning is good. Don't go back or even by the place you get these tapes from. If order through the mail, burn every piece of mail from those places, before being tempted to look at.
Or just plain destroying these tapes will work if burning not an option. Or putting the mail through a paper shredder.
Then for good measure, find someone who will help you with this area of your life at church. That is someone to call, pray, and do what ever it takes to not watch porn.
This can also include blocking any channels on the tv that you like to watch. Can't do it yourself, find someone who will do this for you. This way you will not know the password to unlock the stations. Especially if the person chosen won't give it to you no matter what.

First, let go of all your guilt and start fresh. With a new and hopeful outlook on life. Give up porn, out of free will and not because of what others believe, do it for yourself, to make yourself happy. Feel about the feelings you get from watching this, does it make you happy in the long run, or only for a short while? Like someone else wrote, find out the reason why you watch it. Basically, a religion out there, (which shall remain nameless because I don't believe in conversion [it's not Christian, btw]) believes that no matter what we do, our souls are still pure. First of all, if you truly did accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord a savior, and has given him total control of your life,
then your desire to served and please him will be first and foremost. Personally, I will advice you to find a good practical Bible believing and teaching church and become an active member. Secondly I strongly advice to pray constantly, for there is a battle going on in your life.
The battle between the old self that love to watch porn and the new self that wants to give it up and serve the Lord. What ever happens in the physical, has already happen in the spiritual. That is why praying is very important. You by yourself can not fight or win this battle alone. For the Bible says we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but spiritual forces that is far beyond our natural abilities. And only through constant prayers and reading the Bible, will you be able to renew you mind and your desire to please the old you by watching porn will die to the new person that you have become.
I strongly believe if you applied these bible truth and principles truly and seriously with the desire to change, then God will honor his promise to you. For you can not served two masters. You will love one and hate the other. The question is which one do you love and hate?

The Bible tells us in Hebrews 12 that if you are a child of God (saved), you cannot continue in this sin. The reason being is that God will chastise you!! This chastisement will not be standing in the corner for an hour but YOU will definitely know that God;s chastening hand is upon you!! You may lose every pssession you have. You may be diagnosed with cancer or maybe your arm will be amputated. Perhaps a close relative will suddenly die!! Whatever the Lord gives you, there will be no doubt in your mind that you are being chastised. Now if you continue in your sin and nothing happens then you are a bastard---you were never a child of God. Read Hebrews chapter 12 slowly and prayerfully and you will see this. I used to be addicted to porn too. What people don't understand is that is a real affliction and needs to be dealt with in our society. Try to rid it from your everyday life: hang out with people who are positive influences, talk about your problem with people who will understand (perhaps a priest?) and help you to focus on other things - this really helps because you feel the guilt lift right up, and just create an awareness - tell yourself that you're a better person for not doing porn. This can all be hard at first (really hard) but persistance pays off. Remember that through God's grace you can make it through this chapter in your life. God is faithful. Peace be with you.

If you are of The Faith and have a church home you need to seek councel from the leadership of your congrigation. You need to stop looking for porn cold turky... But Godly councel is very important... seek it out. If you do not feel you can trust your pastor or any man in your congrigation to confide in about this...you need to seek an other church home...most certainly you need to be in prayer for guidence in this
If you are not of The Faith... you are on your own...perhaps therapy through a local clinic.
But in either case... going cold turky is the best way...

You first need to pray for help in stop watching porn AND be sincere about it. You will eventually stop and be uninterested in it. Remember God works in mysterious ways, he will help you only if you really want the help! Good Luck!

Stop watching porn. Get counseling help to discover why you find it necessary or attractive. Work on growing up mentally and psychologically
