Sure, lots of people have seen things flying that they could not identify.

Did they see a spaceship from an alien race? No way.

How can I be so sure? There are several reasons.

1) There were no reports of UFO's prior to the first science fiction stories being published. The very first UFO sightings were reported very shortly after the first SiFi stories were published. You would think if UFO's were really space aliens they would not have waited for science fiction stories to be written before they visited. It sounds to me more like SiFi stories just sparked people's imaginations.

2) We have been scanning the skys now for decades looking for radio transmissions from aliens. The SETI project has never detected a single alien transmission. You would think if they bother to visit Earth that we might detect some sign of them that way.

3) Other stars are really far away. It would take both a tremendous amount of energy and a tremendous amount of time to travel to even the very closest star, which is about 4 light years away. There are only a few stars within even 40 light years of Earth and most stars in this Galaxy are thousands of light years away. I know we have all seen lots of TV where people are zipping around faster than the speed of light, but the reality is that it is probably impossible. At sub-light speed interstellar space travel is thoroughly impractical.

I've seen a couple, I don't think they were spacecraft from another world though. I have a healthy respect for the amount of influence the mind has on perception. It's bitten me on the @ss one time too many for me to completely trust my eyes.

Just ufos in the original sense of the abbreviation, unidentified flying objects.

All the UFO's disappeared now that we all have video or still cams with us at all times..

The only ones that do or have must be on some good prescription drugs and or can't afford a cell phone cam!

Yes I have seen things in the sky once or twice that I could not identify. Which makes them UNidentified Flying Objects literally. Though I do not believe they were mysterious visitors from outer space.

YEAH! I have. And so have you. You look in the say and see something flying around. You ask me "what is that? A bird, a plane? parachute? Balloon?" I reply... "It's an airplane. But, since you couldn't tell what it was, this apparently, to you, this is an Unidentified Flying Object."

if its flying and you can't identify it it is an unidentified flying object

we have all seen UFOs

that doesn't mean the UFOs are alien spacecraft

i c them all the time, sometimes they're lights moving about in the night sky, other times they're little dust particles suspended in mid-air, yet again they could also represent new species of insects like flies... there r various kinds of ufo's, i suspect that you'll soon come across them drifting about in parlement...

I have, it wasn't a saucer-shaped one though, too far away to really tell.

At first it came down like a shooting star (that's what everyone thought it was) then it stopped moving, and shot backwards at twice the speed it fell to Earth. Wierd huh?

Twice as a dancing lightbeam. Both in the distance over the ocean. Once over Hawaii and once over the Pacific in Laguna. Interesting thing was, I saw it, my husband saw it and everyone around was oblivious. I guess when one is ready, it appears.
