Don't want you to take this the wrong way, but I've never understood this sort of reasoning..."so many people are against it so it makes you wonder..." Wonder if it's really the truth, I suspect is your meaning.
Let me wonder just a bit....have you ever eaten wasabi flavoured ice cream, or decided not to brush your teeth for a few months at a time? Well, some people are so viciously against these things, it has just got to make you wonder, doesn't it?
Certainly your beliefs deserve better justification than this -- study and find out what you really believe, and why you believe it! If you believe in Jesus Christ, you're certainly doing no favor to your cause by forwarding such lame justifications.

The Lord is one.
When you do wrong things, and somebody tell you you feel bad and dislike that person.
That is why many person are against any kind of perception of God, they want to continuing doing thing they know are wrong, but because everybody does it...they do it also.
One is the Lord.
