How can I tell if she is being polite or if she likes me?

There is a girl at this juice place that I go to a few times a week that smiles when she sees me, is really friendly, and that I talk to while I'm paying for the juice. How can I tell if she likes me or if that's just her personality? I don't even know if it would be a good idea to ask her out because I go there all the time and if it didn't work out it could be kind of awkward.

You should just ask her out. You will always wonder if you don't. If she says no, so what? It isn't like it is the end of the world.

Ask her out. If she says no, find another juice place.
