i am torn in between. i am a "science" person -- and i always like to have a hard solid evidence before proving something. but in science, it was discussed once in school that there is a theory (i forgot the name) that there is a superior being of greater power that created the universe. not necessarily God, but it is something very powerful. man! i forgot the name! just yesterday i was thinking about it.
despite being skeptical about God -- i still do go to church (forced by my mom) and i do pray to him. eventhough i like science, i grew up in a catholic school -- that's why i said i was torn in between. i was always told to pray to God all the time, when i need help, and when i was young -- i sacrifices small things to thank him for his help. sacrifices like i wouldn't make fun of my classmates anymore etc. (this was when i was young) and that did help.
now, once in a while when i encounter problems at work -- i ask for help. i don't know if it's coincidence -- but i do get those little miracles. like the time when i had a co-worker who was giving me a hard time -- i prayed that God would help me tolerate her, even better -- she was kicked out. and i was applying for a program in college wherein about 400 people took the exams, only 35 were selected -- and i was the only person (from my country) selected.
having faith is different from praying. having faith is actually believing. you could say that it's the power of the mind. but come to think of it -- where did the universe REALLY originate from?

Having God being there is more of a comfort than an everyday reality. While God is certaintly watching over you, it doesn't mean that He'll be making things go your way. So many people assume that God isn't there becaue they don't have any proof or miracles. The miracles that God makes are small compared to what you may believe to be bigger issues. Often times, his watching over you can create suprises that you take for granted. The real signs that he is watching over you is if you take a walk out into nature; realize what extraordinary beauty is out there and how you have a part of it for you.
If you want a more tangible sign, try praying. If you truly are talking to God, if you truly are trying to find an answer to a question, or if you just want to "chat", there is a wonderful feeling of peace that comes over you, especially late at night, when the worries of the day bounce about inside the quiet recesses of your mind.
Bottom line, God is there, but you don't have to have his presence proved all the time.

I believe in God. I don't think there is a how much. You either do or you don't. So I'm in it 100%. I believe he watches over me and has a plan for me. As long as I stay on the right path, I will get where I need to go.

God is real and alive and yes, He watches over the one's that choose to believe. Just ask some of the people that came out of the World Trade Center alive, or the one's that were 'delayed' from going into the World Trade Center that morning for one reason or another. For the Christians that did die that horrible morning, they completed what their Father had for them to do on this earth and you can believe they are in Heaven with Him....as for the others that chose to not believe suffer the alternative. God gives each one of us a chance to make it right. The choice is yours.

I believe there's more to life than being born, wobbling around for a while, and kicking off. That said, I don't believe in any god as definied by traditional organized religions.
I do see all sorts of amazing things in the world. I see life interconnected, and so many signs that life goes on, that death is illusory. Dusk is followed by nightfall, but that's followed by the dawn again. Winter is followed by spring. Life regenerates itself everywhere we look, even as individuals die off. Do I think I will retain a sense of self after death? Probably not, but it's a bit hard to tell 'til you get there.
If we sat on clouds playing harps we'd go mad in a few years, long before we could think about eternity. And eternity itself is really a concept the human mind cannot wrap itself around. We can't really imagine how long dinosaurs roamed the earth, let alone how long the earth has existed, or the galaxy, or the universe.
I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a god or gods, but I see no reason to put faith in one, either. I can put faith in a mystical, interconnected web of life that's more powerful than my imagining, and if I deify that, then perhaps I have a god of sorts. And that would be about the only god I can imagine placing any sort of faith in. A god as revealed by science, not diminished by it.

I believe in God with all my heart and soul! He watches over me every day. He helps me to make good choices and keeps me away from danger. Since I have accepted God into my life my life has been smooth sailing for the most part. Even in hard times I have a wonderful and powerful friend to confide in. Before I accepted God into my life I found trouble at every turn. My life was a mess and I didn't think it was worth living. Now I live for God and his promises to me. I am a very happy person now.

I don't know how to explain how much - I do honestly believe's he watches over the entire world - the reason I believe this is because I have yet to have a pray unanswered and if this is so then others must also get their answered. how else could he do this unless he is watching.

Yes I believe in God and I believe He watches over me and meets my every need. Psalms 23. The proof is in God's word.

No! I believe that there is some form of higher power or creator, but I don't use the term 'GOD' because of it's monolistic implications. And if this 'GOD' were to exist, I don't believe that this 'GOD' could be classifed as a he, she, nor an it. I believe that this entity would be so far beyond even our ability to comprehend, that there is no point in pondering it anyway!

Belief is not in levels of "how much or how little." Either you believe or you do not believe.
I know God is my heavenly Father. I know Jesus Christ is God's son and the Son of Man. I believe and know that unless and until one Accepts, Believes, and Confesses with his mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, they cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
I know and believe the Bible to be the inspired Word of God. I know and believe that God not only watches over us, he knows the exact number of the hairs on my head; He knows the intentions of my heart. God knows all --- but he is Our Father and wants us to love Him. Your Earthly father may know you love him, but he still likes to frequently talk to you or hear from you about how things are going with you. God is no different. Hence, we pray and talk to our Heavenly Father.
Jesus Christ is our Brother and our Lord. When we accept Christ as our Savior, we are made a part of a family---we are all Brothers and Sisters in and through Christ.
PHYSICAL SIGNS:
I remember---and sometimes am visited----by the person I was before I was a Christian. I see the difference in my behavior, my ability to love people that are very difficult to be loved.
I see how my actions, without being conscience of them at the time, are completely different as they relate to people who demean, insult, and bash Christianity and Jesus Christ, specifically.
I am not the same person---but I am not perfection. God will not make us perfect until He calls us home. But I keep trying. My sinful nature is more recognizable now and is uncomfortable. I don't want to be around people who are drinking or drunk. I don't want to be around people who are cussing all the time. I don't want to be around places that work to diminish the Holy Spirit in me. I want to be wherever I would feel comfortable taking Jesus if he were walking physically beside me. I don't want to hear language that would shame Him, or be around people who would rather crucify him again than honor and praise him.
Those are all my personal signs that God is in my life, watching over me---through the Holy Spirit.
Thanks for you question. It's always a joy and a pleasure to share my faith and love in the Lord.
