Do you have kids?
I used to have extremely painful menses like you described, but after I had my first baby it has never come back (that was 3.5 years ago).
I'm not suggesting that you have kids just to end the pain, but if you do have kids one day you might stop having pain. :)
Until then, drink A LOT of water - more than you think you need. Get lots of rest. Apply heat packs to your abdomen when you feel crampy. Drink hot tea - I especially liked drinking ecinacea when I was feeling really painful cramps. I also applied heat or ice packs to my forehead, which helped ease the pain. You could see a chiropractor or acupuncturist, s/he may be able to help ease the pain more long-term.

First, you must see a doctor.
Second, I have so much pain to a point of blacking out. I have been to a doctor many times, but there is nothing wrong with me, I just have severe pain and from my waist down everything swallows up a lot. My period lasts about 7/8 days.
Third, I usually take a combination of Motrin and Tylenol - nothing else works better for me. A hot compression also helps a bunch.

One way is to stop the periods all together by getting on the pill and just taking the same strength pills all month (no break). They say it is safe even though it seems a little weird. Other things that can help is a change in diet- eliminating Carbs all together fixed my sister's horrendous periods. Acupuncture also helped her. Good luck.

Have you tried heating pads? All I can say other than that is go to the Dr. and have them check out what could be causing it. They at least can give you some meds to help stop the pains. Sorry your hurting!

You need to visit a doctor, often a painful menstraution is a sign something is wrong. Your doctor might put you on birth control, that will take away some of the pain.

Go to your gyno. He/she may put you on the pill to boost estrogen levels, etc. You may also be experiencing other things that need further medical treatment, i.e. endometriosis. It's best to just get checked out by a professional.
