I'm looking for a good wine without such a bitter after taste. Any suggestions?

Whites are usually less bitter than reds. Red wines have tannins in them, which are really healthy for you, but also give the wine that sort of dry, tart tang. If you prefer a sweeter wine, Reislings are the way to go. They're a nice, sweet, fruity (usually German) white wine, with little to no tartness. White Zinfindel (which is actually pink) is also a good choice.
These choices are good for drinking with food or by themselves. As far as reds go, you may find that a red that is bitter and hard to drink by itself is much better when drank with dinner. Sometimes the characteristics of food help neutralize the bitterness, and play up the wine's other characteristics. (It makes me think of a bottle of wine that I bought that was too dry, too tart and too alcholic-- until I ate a piece of chocolate. Drank with the chocolate, the wine became rich and fruity.)

Try a Pino Gris. It's a white wine that has a sweeter flavor and is not bitter or dry at all. This is a great wine for people who are just starting out with trying wine and don't know what to get.

I work in a restuarant with the largest winelist in the world.
If you want sweetness in your wine here are a few,Muscato Di Asti(from Italy),Vouvray(from France),Reisling(from Germany or the U.S. but not from Australia.)
If you want no sweetness but soft easy drinking red wine thats a little harder. You basically have to experiment (drink a lot).
Try Beaujolais(from France),Merlots and Pinot Noirs(from the U.S.) If you have access & money try old Burgandys or old Zinfandels.
Good luck & Cheers
Life is to short to drink cheap wine!!

My absolute favorite wine is Pinot Grigio. It is a dry wine, and most brands of this wine do not leave a bitter taste in your mouth. It is very crisp and delicious!
