Yes, you can learn the basics and the videos are fun to watch.
Neena and Veena are pretty good. They are kind of silly to me because the girls are silent and the instructions are drecorded seperately so I laugh a little top much while watching them.
I can't stand the Goddess Workout ones. She is just strange.

I bought one for my girlfriend, and it works GREAT.
I bought it at Barnes and Noble, it was near the pilates/yoga dvds
