I came to the states in 2001 from the Ivory Coast, and it enrages me that people have to cross the border, we had to spend so much money to come here. If they want to legalize them, what about the people who came here legally and want to stay here, but are fighting hard for papers, what sense does that make.

I don't believe that the government here should just give amnesty to all the illegals here.
I hate to see the people that go through the legal channels get screwed. They are honest and trying to make a good life for themselves. It makes no sense that the government would try to alienate decent potential citizens.

People who cross the border probably werent as fortunate as you are to be able to afford the trip here. how did you come here legally and are fighting for your papers? that doesnt make sense. Most supposed "illegals" came here with a visas but then are treated bad when they want to become citizens and probably want their "papers" as much as you do.

It doesn't make any sense at all. If you want to be in America do it the right / legal way. There are plenty of people who have and they are not punished so why do it illegally.

if you have overstayed your visa, or you are in the middle of legalization and fighting for your papers, you are an undocumented immigrant just like them....
