Construction jobs, educational jobs, owning my own business kind of jobs, farm jobs with free education and no taxes, house cleaning services, resturuant jobs. There are enough Americans to do every job in America. When the migrant worker programs were set up America's population was far less, and that is why we offered so much to immigrants. However, the population of America is almost 300 million people. The unemployment rate is much higher than the government says, because there are too many illegals working under stolen IDs, showing that Americans are working more jobs than they are, and in some cases as many as two hundred jobs, as the woman on Fox34 News discovered about her stolen ID. Just imagine if the two hundred or so people using her stolen ID to work were put out of these jobs, that would mean that there would be 200 more Americans working. One person that she discovered had stolen her ID worked for MicroSoft, and even owned stock. I know of allot of Americans that would compete for that job.
I am American, and I have harvested cotton, cleaned toliets, cut lawns, and done just about every kind of job illegals claim Americans do not want to do. That is a lot of crap. I know plenty of Americans willing to do the work, some are even willing to work for as little as two dollars an hour, with no taxes taken out. The minimum wage in Mexico is $1.26 an hour. Thirty years ago, America's minimum wage was $2.16 an hour. If they want the wages in Mexico to change then go back to Mexico, and use your voting rights to change the laws to favor your wage. Americans had to do it, to be able to get what they have earned, and other nations need to do the same, not run away from it.

I have a good job as nurse and am getting my MSN. But, I know people in my community. They talk about how hard it is to compete with construction, landscaping prices when you don't hire illegals. Did you know that right now there are discrimination lawsuits against certain construction companies that will only hire illegals so they can get a bigger profit? That even people who want to work in a grocery store in some areas have to speak Spanish? Have you considered not all immigrants are illiterate strawberry pickers, that some are educated people? There are people in America right now who need jobs. Because I am doing better financially I am supposed to forget about my countrymen?

There are plenty of jobs the illegal people have taken for half the wage Americans were being paid. I guess it's not THEIR fault if the business was willing to 'lay off' the American and hire the illegal for less. However, the business was willing to give the American a wage that kept him off the welfare rolls and the American paid taxes on that higher wage, putting more back into our government which pays for the WELFARE the illegal immigrant is getting on his lower wage. Now that the American is no longer making that higher wage some of them have to go on welfare too, which only makes the governmental funded program pay out MORE. The illegal immigrant should not even BE here, should NOT be allowed to GET that job and certainly should not be allowed to get federally funded ASSISTANCE!! THEY are NOT LEGAL citizens!!

They have taken jobs from factory workers, people on road crews, carpentry, roofing, dishwashers, cooks, janitorial jobs, housekeepers, etc. They should be deported, ASAP!! Americans do not want to work for slave wages and go on welfare, they want to be able to make a wage that keeps them OFF welfare.

I wish i could get a nanny job, or a house cleaning job like they could. There are plenty of illegals make lots more than minimun wage. Did you hear about the billions of dollars that were sent back to mexico last year. This is the way it works, they come here take our jobs, and yes i've milked cows before and picked strawberries....so there shut up, but anyways they work have babys get on welfare shack up with about 20 in one apt. so each are payng like 20 dollars a month have partys with their lone star card and send all their money back to mexico! I went to mexico 2 times and it was nice. The family i stayed with had a beautiful house and was doing way better off than my family. The woman had 2 sons in the U.S. ILLEGALLY. I talk to some smart people in mexico and they say they do not want to come to the U.S and they despise the ones that do they could be helping their country and making a life over there. One of the ladys i was staying with in mexico had a good job and she was making money. I even got offered a job. Mexico isnt as bad as its all played out to be. tHEY SAY THAT SO PEOPLE WILL FEEL SORRY FOR THEM. aND MANY OF THE GUYS COME HERE JUST TO GET AWAY FROM THEIR WIFES AND ALL THEM KIDS.

Dude, I think you and I are on the same wavelength, to use an antiquated phrase. The government is making a big deal about illegals to draw attention away from the war. Or 'Bush's Big Blunder' as I like to call it. Let the 'illegals' leave our country en mass and see how fast things start to fall apart. They come here to work and to give a better life to their children and families back home. We have much bigger problems right now other than an endless supply of cheap labor. any job that an american wants to enter the labor force...the jobs could be done by the young and just out of high schoo and college age .....

if you think illegals are making min wage..you better look around again..with their scams against the govt for housing, food , medical, education they are costing the american taxpayer approx 55,000 a year per illegal....thats more than i make....and i have to pay my own way...and taxes to boot...
