I actually have experience with this--with two different cats I've had. This always works! I pick her up and hold her like I do if I'm carrying her around (facing me with her front paws up on my shoulder)--like if you're burping a baby. Then I gently bounce her like a baby for a few seconds. It's pretty funny, but it works every time! I don't know if it's the bouncing that helps or just her surprise of being picked up and bounced around, but try it.

hiccups are just random spasms of the diaphragm, and will pass eventually like they do in people. Nothing big to worry about.
