My 10 week old mini pin fell down a large flight of stairs on her head today, she was trying to come down the stairs by herself(apt complex stairs) because i was at the bottom. I rushed her to the vet and they say her head is ok..(without an x-ray) but she broke her front paw. She will be coming home here in a hour. Is there anything i can do to help comfort her? And what are signs that her head may have internal bleeding so i will know somthings wrong??

I would get her to the vet tonight! It's worth the emergency fee when it's a traumatic incident like this. Good supportive care can mean the difference between a complete recovery and no recovery at all! . It sounds to me like she may have experienced some head trauma or damaged her back, resulting in some loss of neurological control. If I were you, I would have been on the phone to the vet with the dog in the car as soon as she fell down the stairs and didn't get right back up!

She should be okay
But you can look for the head tilt, not eating, walking in circles for a long period of time ,( not like if she is try to lay down.) It will look similar but will go on for alto longer. you may notice here walking and start going to one side or the other ( kind of like she is drunk.
If you knottiest any sign like that take her to the vet.
A few thing you may want to do to keep her comfortable leave her be let her do what she wants, and take her down the stairs, and don't let her jump off the couch or the bed.

Just try to keep her as still as possible & keep her away from the stairs for a while til her paw heals. As far as signs of internal bleeding, she will act dizzy & lethargic. Her eyes will become glassy. She'll be alright. Most puppies are pretty tough. Just love on her & let her know all will be okay.

For human concussion patients they recommend not letting them sleep a bunch the first 24 hours. If she seems lift-less and won't eat. Take her back to the vet.

Sorry to hear this. Ask you vet most of the questions. Give her a stuffed Kong - with chicken, liver, her dinner, peanut butter, treats, whatever, to keep her busy. Can also stuff it and freeze it to make it last longer.

I think you should just keep her still and comfortable. If she is eating and drinking well, I'm sure she is OK. Your vet should send home instructions for her to help you also.

umm i think you shouldn't pay to much attention bec it might affect the puppies behavior towards you. So why dont you ask the vet instead?
