No. It wouldn't solve anything. If you try to use murder as a solution, it won't help even if you kill an entire city with your bare hands and burn the place to the ground when you're done.
I would look at myself and ask myself why I am so heartbroken. My expectations? My unfulfilled desires? My having in essence given this person the power to determine my happiness? My assumption that I have to have her to live?
But I wouldn't have this problem because I already worked over this material a while back. This means that when my special someone rejected my proposal of marriage (and I have to hear him play the organ at church every week, not to mention be in a music group with him), I basically told myself, 'Either you can think that you have nothing left to gain and just forget him, or you can think that you have nothing to lose and do whatever you like - and if he doesn't like it, that's his problem!'
In other words, I don't answer to him - only to myself and God. So, since AFAIK he isn't seeing anyone, I have continued to love him - at a discreet distance - and maintained my other friendships, my work and relationships with customers, my music, my trading on the stock market, my hobby of learning languages, etc. and have a very nice life.
And when I am with him, killing him is the furthest thing from my mind. I forget all the hard things he's said to me, I forget about the rejected marriage proposal because am so happy to be with the one I love. So as you can see, it really is possible to live with your situation, be happy and - most importantly - keep a clear conscience.
