ask family or a close friend to house sit! you wouldn't want soemone u never met to be in charge of ur house would ya???

You don't say if you will be gone for a weekend or a year.. these are big factors - but you are right to look for someone.. If people know you are away, it is sure to be vandalized.. They seem to have an attitude, a rationalization that if you don't care about your stuff, then they might just as well help themselves.. We have family, who either stay or stop in and out and we have a dog and a wall and a gate -- If you cannot find someone, then I would suggest storing all valuables and if you have neighbors, either asking them or paying them to keep an eye on the place for you.. Hey, I have a friend in the USA, but you would have to pay his airfare.. but whatever you do, - do not leave valuables unattended.. best of luck.. - maybe I could lend you some family but we are in Tak Province - - best to find someone local..

You have to ask people whom you trust to do this for you. Otherwise consider a property agency to manage it for you if you are going away for a long time. Even rental if you want, to holiday-makers.

Just talk to the police and pay them... very easy, and trustable...
