I went to a "Rocky Horror Show" marathon. It lasted four days, I stayed awake by popping caffeine pills, which by the way is apparently a no no if you are Mormon.
It was actually pretty cool, while everybody was doing the time warp I was doing my best impersonation of Brigham Young and married the entire first two rows of the theater. No child brides, it was a midnight movie.
Everybody threw toast and confetti, I spouted scripture. For my next mission I am going to infiltrate the Dixie Chicks. I imagine it will be a greasy job those girls eat a lot of pork rinds.

I didn't go on a Mormon mission. I only believe in the Bible that was written by the Saints and Church Fathers.

Mormonism is a cult.

Mormons belong to a cult.

But they are very friendly.

Italy.

I learned a great language. I met with many wonderful people. I had some great experiences in a land 95% Catholic. The other 5% were really against listening to me!

Best 2 and a half years of my life.

Oh, MAN! Reading o errante's answer, this sounds like a really sweet theme for a reality TV show!

Check it out: Several missionaries are set for the challenge of a lifetime: convert people on the beaches of Rio! (image of beaches with parts missing bikini tops blurred out) They can look once, but if they look twice they're OUT of the there and going to HELL! Which ones will survive? Which ones will burn for all eternity?

Now that's a "survivor" show I would watch!

Brazil, Sao Paulo State...greatest place in the world.

Best and worst two years of my life...great people, great food, great language, great culture, great time...but...lots of beautiful but untouchable women (if you don't look once, you're not a man, if you look twice, you're not a missionary.), beautiful beaches (no swimming allowed...insurance issues), two seasons (hot and freaking hot...and even at 42 C in the shade you have to wear a tie!), lots of hard work for no pay, and 24/7 with other missionaries (ok if they're cool...a trial if you don't get along).

Bonus: You learn to take care of yourself, live with anybody, and put up with anything...it's hard not to learn a bit of patience and humility on a mission.

Never went. But if I were, Id go to Las Vegas and party. Why do people say it is a cult?

hey
If I was a Mormon, I'd like to go to Tahiti for my mission, and bring along a gorgeous Mormon chick with me.

Just kidding...
If the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is your ticket to redemtion, more power to you!
