You did not specify what those negative thoughts are.
At a young age some people find it difficult to concentrate and need to train their minds. it is a common experience of many students.
However please learn to meditate.
(1) Wake up at 5 AM and after washing your face sit down in your room and close your eyes. Your aim is to avoid thinking. DON'T tell your mind NOT to think. It will start bringing all sorts of memories and try to disturb your meditation. If it happens then please do not get hooked up to those fleeting thoughts. Allow them to come and go out of your mind. You are in a way emptying your mind of all the thoughts. It will improve with practice and slowly your mind will become calm and concentration will improve. You can sit for 15 minutes in the beginning and increase it to 30 minutes gradually. Continue meditation everyday till you leave school.
(2) Prioritize your goals and go for the most important goal with whole hearted efforts. The negative thoughts will not bother you.
(3) if you want to score more marks then the simple solution is to study more than others. You need to plan your study hours and follow your plan. Soon you will find that you don't have enough time for study. Then your mind willl concentrate on studies and shut off other thoughts.
(4) You need to read faster. Studies have shown that fast readers can concentrate more than slow readers because the mind has great processing speed. If your input to the brain is slow then it wanders off to other subjects. So learn Speed reading.
(5) You should realize that time is precious and every minute you waste will be irrecoverable and costly. You will be left with lesser time. So fill every minute with worthy effort to reach your goals.
Best of luck.

It's a problem... Because you really can't control your thoughts... Your actions, of course you can control. Knowing this, may be of some help. Negative thoughts could mean so many different things! I go through the entire day with hundreds, thousands of thoughts, although, not negative... It is very draining and disturbing. I manage to focus on what I need to do and I almost always do what I want to do. You are what you think. So think good thoughts. Accentuate the positive, eliminate the negative. You've managed to help me get a little more focused, I hope this answer helps you too.

I would suggest you write yourself a to do list every evening for the next day. Sometime during each day allow yourself an hour break. Make it an activity that you won't be caught up in and go over your hour. A walk in the park and feed the birds. Gym, swimming. Just sitting and listening to some good music. ETC Stick with friends and family that have your best interest at heart and will help keep you on track. If you have to start hanging with people that are staying on track and do what they do.

Well you have made it this far, don't let these thought screw up the final year of school. Just look forward to the future after school and achieving whatever dream it is that you are chasing by going to school. Other than that, try getting some exercise. Go for a run and just run the bad thoughts out of your head. I hope this helps, I know what it is like. I was having panic attacks toward the end of my schooling, but you just have to realize that everything will be fine.

Try this it's ALWAYS helped me outa LOT:
1. Look up EVERYU word you don't know. Don't try to figure it out...Look it up in a dictionary and make up 3 sentences with it or until you understand it 100%.
2. When you don't quite get something, make sure that you know ALL of the words and then go one to looking at pictures of the thing, a demonstration of one, or even read about it.
Good lucky to you!!!!!!!!

Since it is your last year in school, you should be happy about doing the last assignments.Just think about each assignment you do is bringing you closer to graduation. Those negative thoughts are not going to mean anything once you graduate,so why bother?

just tell yourself you want a five minute break from you worries, and that after those five minutes you'll go back to worrying. if it works for those five minutes, than take a whole entire break from you worries.
