I am not sure but, the best way to find out is to go to a sporting goods store and ask someone who is working there and know about these things, from the sounds of his size I would think he would use a child's size glove but, I am not sure it would be best to ask some one with the knowledge in this field....

Whoa!!

Um in amateurs they fight with 8 ounce gloves I would say start him off with 10s & as he gets into it then up it to 12...Im senior & I train with 16s they aint rite for a 12 yr old,believe me

Use the heaviest they make at that age he does not need to take hard blows to the head you are just teaching him the fundamentals of the sport of boxing

Get him 16oz it helps with his strength and he take less punishment..
