Satanists, Athiests, Sadism... and all the other crap?

Humor me please.

I had a conversation with someone who claimed they were a sadist, but explained the following to me:

He stated, that being a sadist you DO NOT worship the devil. You merely DENY jesus christ, god and religion. Then he said that atheism and sadism are completley different things, but did not tell me the difference. They sound the same to me.

Then he explained that he believes that satan does infact exist. How there can be a devil without a god im not sure. I assume he doens't know crap about anything and just splurges on crap like that to feel independent, when he knows nothing.

So for those of you who know SOMETHING, what the hell is satanism... athiesm... and any other religion or beliefs, or "denied beliefs" along these terms.

First of all, you seem to be confusing sadism with satanism. Sadism is the joy in inflicting pain, often in a sexual context. In theory, a person can do this and be a christian (although I am sure many christians would disagree.) satanism is the worship or advocacy of Satan, the devil, or whatever you want to call it. It seems mutually exclusive with being a christian.

How can you believe in the devil and not god? It seems pretty straight forward to me. They are two entities, and you believe in one and not the other. I guess there is a conflict if you only can see the world through christian colored glasses.

And, there is no conection between satanism and atheism. I feel that a satanist, by definition, sin't a true atheist.

Also, I don't conside atheism a "denied belief." I don't view my belief as the denial of god, but as the aforemation of the beauty and fecundity of the natural world. I simply don't believe in anything supernatural. Yes, there will be things that we can never explain, but that doesn't mean that we should explain them with ghosts, goblins, and voodoo.

I don't view my faith as reaction to your judeo-christian god, but as something wholly different. It is only your christocentrism that allows you to see everything as only a reaction to you. (Get a grip, 2/3 or the world is not christian.)

LaVey Satanism may believe in the existence of Satan as a kind of pre-Christian earth deity (or life force if not actually a deity) and may believe in the supremity of the individual. However Satanism is defined differently by most people. Most anybody who actually identifies themselves as a Satanist (and is over the age of, say, 19) is a healthy, independent-minded and positive individual.

Atheism is either the lack of belief in God or gods or the belief that there is no God or gods.

Sadism is the sexual pleasure in causing pain to your partner during sex.

Crap is an alternate word for human faeces.

There are two religions that go by the term Satinist, one is a new age type nature worship that has nothing to do with the Christian God, the other worships the enemy of the Jewish/Christian God. Your friend seems to have some affiliation with the first group.

FYI a sadist is different than a Satinist. A sadist is related to psychology a Satinist related to religion.

An athiest dosen't believe in any God or Devil, be they Christian, Hindu, or any other sort.

Knowledge has very little to do with belief and faith.

This has nothing to do with religion or "satan" or "god".

It has a lot to do with the fact that the person you're talking about is a complete moron.

Atheism is the non-belief of any deity. No you can not believe in the devil if you don't believe in god. No Atheist believes in the devil. The misconception comes from Christianity....the bible says that all who do not follow god follow the devil. Therefore Christan's think atheist follow the devil. Although we are not. The person you talked to was confused. Sadist are something completely different.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE people and do not do DRUGS, doing so removes the safe guards that the creator placed in your intelligence and makes you vernable to suggestion and the evil spirit world.
