How Do People Become Popular

2016-11-14 13:07:34 · answer #2 · answered by jackson 4 · 0 0

Popularity is an attitude that is achieved best by being known and liked for your oppinions or idea's. I believe it truely depends on in what social setting you want to be in. When your in high school thats all that you think about being accepted, and liked by the vast majority. Yet in high school there are many different groups of people. I think one of the best ways to be popular is get involved in the social group that best suits you and sets you up for the future. If you can avoid the groups that put you in harms way enough to stay out of trouble but take small risks that let people know your cool. Choose not to do the bad things but dont snitch on the people that do. You can be popular in your own group and have many friends and still not be most popular in the school. Remember know matter how popular you are in high school it is only 4 years of life, and just the beginning. Once school is over with time the whole experience fades, and people who were not your friends in high school move on to become mature and real people, living the real life they have to make for themselves, and I have friends today I couldnt stand in school, and enemies that were my best of buds. Focus on the future and do the best you can while you are where you are.

Be goofy and outspoken. Wear the latest fashions (refer to Vogue magazine for details). Ignore the nerds, even if that makes you feel guilty inside. Sit alone or only with really attractive people. Get good grades, even if you have a bad boy/girl image. NEVER answer your cell phone, only give a call back on messages over an hour old. DON'T EVER GET DRUNK! Drinking is ok, but never lose control. Don't use drugs, let your friends use them, the "cool crowd" is always going to experiment, but you need to have a high self-worth so drugs are out of the question. Respect yourself above everyone else. Stay in shape, it only takes a little bit of exercise but it goes a long way. Play sports and never complain, even if you are tired never let anyone see it.

All you need to do is be nice to everybody and nothing bad will come of that. Then if you have the ability to show off and let people see what you can do that makes you unique in some form or another do it. Your popularity will come to you whether you want it or not. Now all you need to to is continue this shirade forever and you will always be popular!

The trick to being popular is to act like you don't care about being popular.

Whatever you do, don't become one of those sellouts who treat other kids mean just to try to impress the popular kids. When that happens, you are nothing more than a toadie stooge for the jocks and rich kids who can afford designer clothes.

Being popular is not always better. Alot of times, kids get popular by trying to impress the popular group and that group decides who they want to let into their clique and who are going to be their targets. Kids will do anything they can to become popular and sometimes, it even means taking unsafe measures to get into the group. They will act like those popular kids so that the group thinks he/she is cool. Sometimes, they will take up unhealthy measures like smoking, drinking, and getting into gangs that do nasty things like stealing. Basically, one becomes popular by acting like the popular clique until someone in the clique recognizes their behavior and thinks they are cool enough to let them in. Popular people don't have it all like the unpopulars think. They are snotty people who don't know the meaning of responsibility and manners. I'm not saying your cousin is like this, but most are. So, I would just advise her not to get in over her head.

Either by being helpful to others and good students (in which event they become popular with nice folks) or by being arrogant and snotty (in which event they become popular with not so nice people)... Who would you rather be popular to?

Perhaps being popular is not as important as applying yourself to schoolwork, and dealing with your friendship issues outside of school time...

Money, looks, ability, superficial personality, who they know or are related to, etc...

Once these people are out of high school, they find out that those things don't matter anymore (at least not to the extent of high school).

They become popular by not trying so hard. Nothing matters in highschool. You will find that out when you graduate.
