1996 Lincoln Town Car
My fuel pump relay is intermittent. The relay is good; I even put a new one on. When I turn the key on you can hear the relay click and the car will start. If you don’t hear the relay click it will not start. Turning the key on and off will make the relay work.. It seems to be a common problem on the Internet but I have not got an answer as to what it may be.

Replace the PCM relay. It has to energize first then it sends power to the Fuel pump relay.

check for corrosion in the relay terminals or a disconnected or loose wire on the under on the PDC. It could be a bad PCM relay or a loose ground or a loose wire in the relay harness.
