The *height requirement* bit is a FARCE and a FRAUD anyway, I am nearly SIX FEET TALL, was around TWO HUNDRED POUNDS, when I got my airbag BRAIN INJURY!

ANYONE you LOVE, KEEP IN THE BACK SEAT, with NO BACK SEAT AIRBAGS!

Children and air bags do not mix. All children under the age of 12 should ride in the back seat. Air bags can seriously injure or kill children who are sitting in the front seat. Children can easily slide off the seat during pre-crash braking, throwing them against the dashboard where the airbag can strike them on the head or neck with tremendous force before it is fully inflated. A rear-facing infant seat should never be placed in the front seat of a vehicle equipped with an active passenger air bag. If a child over one year old must ride in the front seat with a passenger side air bag, put the child in a front facing child safety seat, a booster seat, or a correct fitting lap/shoulder belt-- AND move the seat as far back as possible. Most states' laws vary slightly, but for the most part, children are suggested to ride in the back seat. Hope this helps!

Umm, it is usually not reccommended. However, usually if the child weighs 100 or more pounds, it should be fine.
Some cars have a way to turn off the passenger airbag. Check your manual.

I think that the law states that a child needs to be 12 years old before they sit in the front with air bags. But if I were you I would not let the child sit up front until she/he was big enough and old enough to sit in the front. My sister is skinny and small and she is 12 years old but my mom still won't let her sit in the front for her own safety.

Look at the laws. The laws specify the necessary height for a child to sit in the front seat. If your child doesn't meet the height requirement, then its not safe.
