They can't help it - they are built that way. It comes from thinking with the little brain most of the time and thinking it is actually bigger than it is.
But just remember that and you can usually work around this in your life and find a good one who doesn't hurt you as much as the rest did.

Rude people are suffering from low self-esteem. If someone is rude to you, then just say, "I'm sorry that you have such a low self image that you feel the need to be rude to people."
The real question is "why do you hang out with people that you know are heartless jerks?" If you picked your friends (and boyfriends) better, then you wouldn't be asking this question.

because they believe being heartless jerks fits their life style, and that they have everything they want, so they choose to be that way, no reason for them to change, i also think partially because they don't know how much more they could have if they were the opposite of being heartless jerks.

Some can be, and others just don't mean to be. It depends on the situation. If you expect someone to read your mind, then they can't know what to do, you have to tell them what you want. If someone is being unkind to you, then you have to love yourself enough to not take it, and go find someone who will treat you as you deserve to be treated.
