Well, it is easy, but be careful, people can portray themselves a certain way when do really looking at another...they can lie and/or say things they normally wouldn't say face to face.
My suggestion is to keep your feeling in check until you actually have contact with the other person.
Good luck.

I don't get why so many people say that online friendships are not "real". It is just as easy to lie in person, or over the telephone as it is online. It's really not any different than meeting that guy or girl in the grocery store line, hitting on them, and exchanging phone numbers. You don't KNOW them, you have to take the time to get to know them. If you meet someone online, and spend time talking to them, you're getting to know them. I think there are actually benefits to meeting people online, since you can't exactly get physical RIGHT NOW... You get to know the person, and therefore develop feelings for that person.

Need more details...(i.e. how long have you been conversing with this indidividual - how often)
I think it's possible. I have an aunt that got married to someone she met via the internet. They started out playing dominoes...and they continued this friendship for over 4 months. Finally, they decided to meet and they got married a year later. Guess what their wedding cake looked like? Yes a Dominoe. It's possible, but yet rare - we live in a crazy world. Be sincere and be careful.

I don't know if you can, only knowing them online, but I think online is a good way to really get to know the other person. You can't let looks, environement, or friends influence the opinion you get of this other person online. You get to know who this person really is. But I think to get "feelings" for this online person, you eventually have to start talking on the phone at least.

It is not the person that you have feelings for, you are caught up in the rhythm of writing that can in fact bring about delusional bliss, until you have had a very long time to digest the content of the writing and totally perceive the character over a period of time I would avoid saying you have feelings.

Good question. I guess the internet makes us all understand love like we never have before. If someone can fall in love with another over the net without ever meeting that person then there is definately something to it, aint it?

Well a lot of people get different connections from diff places but online I don't see how it can be realistic.. no offense but you don't really know the person on the other side of that screen.

Feelings are influenced by the fantasies formed in your mind. Being unable to get negative vibes from on line activity has allot to do with it. You imagine what you want about the missing information and make it fit your fantasy.
