The best one I have used is GHD iron oil. It really protects your hair and leaves it feeling great, it also smells lovely. It may seem a bit expensive, but if you only use as much as you need too it lasts for ages.

There are alot of products that say they wont damage hair, there are ceramic straighteners and ion hairdryers etc, but no matter what you do to your hair it will damage it, even blow drying damamges hair and thats not as hot as an iron..... You can spend 5-50 dollars on each product and Ive realized, its just a waste of money

Flat Iron by Special Effects should help a lot. Also there's a ton of shampoo's that help to fix hair damage. Dove's probaly the best in my opinion or maybe try baby shampoo every week or so.

My secret is Biosilk. You just spray it on your hair before you use thermal styling products. It protects against humidity, frizz, and makes your hair really silky and shiny. You can get a 5.3 oz bottle at a local salon or over the web for 15$. If you use it every day it'll last about six months. I totally endorse it.

Some companies, like KMS and Aveda, make heat-protector sprays that defend against damage, drying, and breakage. Try KMS Flat Out Hot Pressed Spray. Works like a charm!

I love this spray its called Flat Iron and its by Special Effects.
Works to smooth dry damaged hair by sealing and protecting the hair from thermal styling. Smooths and conditions while providing a heat memory thermal protective shield to your hair for flat iron or curling iron.

If you are black you need to use the Carson line of product. It comes in a orange tube and has protection for ceramic irons, curling irons.hooded dryers and blow dryers. There is a specific line of product that covers each. If you are Caucasian or have that type of hair try the bio silk or chi line of hair protectants for heat.
