each generation strives to make its own mark by being different. to be irritating is to get attention. it is an extension of loudness of voice, cars, and music, tattoos, and body piercing. some need constantly to be in the spotlight, looking for others reactions, with no care for the consequences to themselves or others in their me first world.

It's irritating to read. Quite frankly, I dont' think I could type like that even if I tried. Thats the one thing I give them credit for. That aside, I think they should sell keyboards without Capslock or Shift keys to anyone convicted of typing like that. Or cut off thier pinkeys. It's lame.

Yes, its stupid and takes longer but honestly, why waste time and energy letting it drive you crazy. If that is the worst thing you have to worry with, WOW. Wish my life was that simple!

I think they need something constructive to do. It seems that typing like that would take a very long time... If you have that much time on your hands (no pun intended, har har!) you could find something a little more useful to do.

It's how they want to express themselves. Just as long as they don't use it on professional documents such as cover letters or resume or thesis, I don't see anything wrong with them using their self expression in casual environments like the chat rooms or IMs.
