i'm HOPING that every lat one of you says you'd save the baby. but i've discussed this sort of stuff before, and a lot of people seem to give some really disgusting answers.

good. i know one person said "the bible", but obviously he was joking. i'm glad you all see that, in the end, bibles are books. some people DO worship them. when i have 1 on 1 conversations and ask these sorts of questions, you'd be surprised at some of the things people say.

Of course I would save the baby. The Bible is a very important book, obviously, but we don't worship the Bible. At the end of the day, it's a book -- we can always buy a new Bible, but we can't replace the baby.

As a Catholic, I was once asked a similar question -- only this one involved saving either a baby, or the Body and Blood of Christ in the church tabernacle.

My answer was the same -- I'd save the baby. The Blessed Sacrament in the church would be lost, but Jesus would surely understand.

Sadly, there really are super religious weirdo's out there who would save a bible over a baby...nothing on this EARTH is more sacred than a human life, especially that of an innocent baby. God created us in HIS image, the bible he did not. In fact he did not create the bible at all....ten commandments yes...but he did not write the bible nor put the ten commandments into the bible...

If you profess to be a Christian, you're only possible right answer would be the baby. While the Bible is supposed to be God's word, it's just a symbol and you can get another anywhere, any time. That baby is a precious life and you can't replace it.

the in straightforward words ingredient required to be kept is a concept in contained in the redemption of Christ's sacrifice. on the time of His sacrifice the Bible wasn't written yet yet His followers are considered kept. some were martyrs and saints w/o any knowledge of the Bible. The Jewish Bible is diverse and known allegorical. The Bible is unquestionably not the note of God. If God truly wanted to write down a e book Jesus would have carried out it Himself and there will be no questions about it. it would also be an somewhat diverse e book. genuine ability lies contained in the fingers of those who write history and create the mythos upon which a society is depending. In Biblical situations this replaced into the priesthood. They and the scribes they experienced were the in straightforward words literate individuals of society. the way in which to keep human beings (women persons and slaves) of their position is to assert that God ordained it that way and then produce a e book to instruct it. no count number how stimulated the authors were or through what source, the information had to filter out by way of their minds and personalities. The Bible replaced into written through adult males immersed in an historic patriarchal custom. all of them had agendas, no matter if it replaced into conserving the social order, unifying doctrine, eliminating heresy or gaining converts. After analyzing it for years i have concluded that it really is a quite clear piece of propaganda. What I do value contained in the Bible is the tale of Christ's existence and teachings. i imagine He knew how misinterpreted and manipulated words can develop into and hence lived in a fashion that would want to enable us persist with in His footsteps inspite of what everyone wrote about Him. The hyperlinks below objectively ingredient the origins of the Bible (a million & 2) as well because the inconsistencies and inaccuracies (3)

Jeepers, everyone better say baby or there's no hope for humanity.

I would save the baby. I'm not Christian but I know that things can be replaced, lives cannot.

Jesus gave His life for PEOPLE, not paper. Absolutely I'd grab the baby--God's Word is spirit and truth, not just sheets of paper. I can't believe anyone who truly knows the Scripture would say otherwise.
