I wouldn't use it to replace confectioner's sugar- Confectioner's sugar is ground much finer than regular sugar (or Splenda), and also contains some cornstarch. Usually when it's called for, rather than sugar, it's for a reason (texture, thickening, &c). You can, in general replace regular sugar with Splenda, but I'd be nervous, not about flavor, but about the baked good turning out correctly, if you use it instead of confectioner's sugar.

You can make sugar free confectioners sugar with coffee creamer and splenda. Pulverize equal parts of the two in a food process or or blender and use like powdered sugar. Works great.

Confectioner's sugar is a blend of sugar and corn starch. Find out what the ratio is of corn starch to sugar is then make your own low calorie substitute. Good luck!

It all depends on what you like. go look up low fat recipes and you will see that the only difference would be substitutes to the original recipe. so I would have to say yes you can. if it is being used on top on a bowl cake or something then it just wont look as nice. the only problem will be that it wont be as thick if mixed in with the recipe. This would only be my opinion. If it makes sense to you. go for it

Splenda and other artifical sweetners are dangerous and not worth the potential risks that are associated with them. A safe and really natural alternative to them if you must not use sugar is Stevia, which can be found at helath food stores and on the internet at places such as

yes it is a sugar substitute, you could use other sugar substitutes but they are not as good as splenda

You can, But it won't be powdery and Powdered sugar is alot heavier than Splenda.
