Why needs a VALID reason?

Did the yanks have a valid reason for invading EErak, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Korea?

The Vietnamese people resisted the US for idealistic reasons and a rigid refusal to be bullied by Uncle Sam or Uncle anybody.
The Muslims are into terrorism for idealistic reasons also.

I don't AGREE with those reasons but I do UNDERSTAND them.
My ancestors had to do much the same kinda things to get the British out of [most of] Ireland. And, lest it be forgotten, 99% of modern IRA funding during the Norn Iron conflict came from the good ole USofA. Whose side were the Yanks on in that conflict?

Hell yes!

But only if they somehow lost all their nuclear capabilities and their entire army was abroad at the time. Other than that, it's suicide. In fact, with a gun in every home, you'd be hard pressed to take over a front porch let alone a government building.

A little more seriously though, it's not hard to see way they make themselves targets of questions like these. The United States is viewed as the biggest threat to world peace on the planet today. It's because they answer to nobody. They rewrite the rules all the time. They find claim a moral justification for every immoral act.

And, most importantly they have, in effect declared war on much of the rest of the world by the following statements: 1) they will attack any nation they deem as a threat to national security because they own weapons of mass destruction, and 2) they will treat any country containing terrrorists as terrorists themselves - therefore open to a pre-emptive strike.

That's almost everybody. Even the US contains terrorists. So who is immune I ask you? In the 'war on terror', anyone and everyone who doesn't do what the big guy says is open for attack under the new US rules of engagement. So, it's not a giant step to see a time when the rest of the world feels threatened enough into action.

Betterdeadth says : "others because the USA is something that threatens or impedes them (Ex: The USA never asked to get into this damn Islamic war...just so happens that the extermination of Israel and the establishing of the Evil Islamic Empire which spans from Europe to China are dependent on whether or not the USA does not exist to stop them" Are you trying to say that the only reason America is despised by the Islamic 'warriors' is because th Islamists need America out of the way for the expansion of their Islamic State? It's really not the fault of America? So, the Islamists don't hate America because they see America as the benefactor of Isreal to the tune of 5 BILLION dollars a year. Money which is spent, among other things, on the bullets, missiles and bombs that are used by Israel to kill Palestinians? No? Oh, well, God Save America.
America, by it's own definition of the term, is a rogue state. It answers to no-one. It flouts international law whenever the law isn't convenient. It threatens the security of the world. It has WMDs and goes to war at the drop of a hat.

GO IN !!! We need to make sure they can't get out, because that's when the bloody problems start.
America is the worlds biggest bully, always dictating to other countries what can & can't be done, but when it comes to something simple like the Kyoto agreement or more restrictions on the production of the gas guzzeling 4x4's to try & help make the world a safer place, thats too bloody hard.
Its always better to make the world "safer" by starting a war over oil, or to try & justify the invaision of afganastan & the tens of thousands that have been killed there, due to the actions of a hand full of extremeists.
No, don't worry about invaiding, Cut them off from the rest of the world & let them tear themselves apart, job's a goodun.

Everyone somewhere thinks that the USA should be wiped off the map. Some think so because of genuine nationalistic concern over US "Imperialism"...others because the USA is something that threatens or impedes them (Ex: The USA never asked to get into this damn Islamic war...just so happens that the extermination of Israel and the establishing of the Evil Islamic Empire which spans from Europe to China are dependent on whether or not the USA does not exist to stop them). Valid my friend is relative...Hitler thought it was valid to launch the Holocaust, just as Mao thought it was valid to launch the Cultural Revolution, just as Osama thought it was valid to kill Americans in the name of Islam and just as Dubya thought it was valid to invade Iraq on spurious evidence and with defective planning (to cater to Bush haters...it does have some points though).

Saddly we can't get rid of them, they have WMD and no moral checks to violence. The best thing would be to cut them off from the rest of the world for a couple of decades and then go in and pick the pieces up later.
But then even that wouldn't work. I'm afraid we will just have to get on with life despite them and hope that somehow, one day, the USA will become a free democracy and a proper government system will fall into place there.

Study American history. The last time the USA was invaded was by Pancho Villa during the Mexican Revolution. I don't think the events of the Civil War count. Before that I think it was the British in 1812.

Honestly there are alot of valid reasons already..we are kind of one the most hated countries in the world..and we invade other countries all the time...as well as we are a superpower..we're hated just for that and ppl think the worlds greatest power is in the wrong place...its just that they won t have the guts to try it anytime soon

Yeah, if you want to be annihilated. There is no scenario that would make any sense to invade the USA. In what scenario should a mouse attack a lion?

no. any invasion of any scale minus the mexican invasion taking place would end in dismal failure on the part of the invader.

And to those bashing on Bush due to his as of late comments and other actions just shut up. No one wants to hear you whine and complain about Bush because for most you uneducated masses everything Bush has been doing is because the general concensus of the Republican party and other high ranking politicians pressure those measures and that means most if not all of this does not fall into the responcibilty of Bush.
