Simple, stop using oil and let the entire region (Israel included) go play in their sand box of a country. Terrorist hate us because we either directly or indirectly support oppressive regimes such as the House of Saud (notice most the the 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia). When we stop giving them money and arms then it will go back to a nice domestic revolution far away from our borders. Sure they may wind up with another war lord or a shia law code, but it wouldn't be our problem anymore. We'd no longer be responsible for helping prop up their oppressors.

Terrorism comes from the root terror, fear. Terrorism thrives as long as you live in fear. The republican government feeds the terror troll. It scares you everyday, reminds you of 9/11 and keeps you in fear. I think the government is more of a terrorist than the "terrorists". The "terrorists" did what they did but once, the government terrorizes the people every single day.
How do you defeat terrorism? There are two ways: 1) not be terrorized. No matter what the administration tells you, tell them that you are not scared of the bogeyman 2) find out why people really hate you. There has got to be a reason, right? Can be no effect without a cause. So find out, as a nation, why people hate America and solve that problem. I can think of a few reasons why people may hate America.
Regardless of what the other knuckleheads are saying, you cannot bomb, battle, torture or imprison people in order to make them like you. And as long as they don't like you, there will be trouble. The only superiority America has is military power, but not everything is a military problem. Just because you have a hammer, everything doesn't have to be a nail.

Terrorism has to be stopped by means of political parties addressing they are wrong. Political parties have to also remember, that a small amount of casualities is still murder.
If we as you and I, truly want to end terrorism, we have to learn to truly accept people for what they believe in. As a populated whole, WE HAVE TO become an educated populace on all cultures.
I truly believe the reason why terror is rampant in our world. Poverty, due to mismanagement of funds. Politicians are seeing whose "gun" is bigger than the others. Special interest groups, rob and corrupt the government. This is a reciepe for anarchy, disaster and terrorism.
In short: READ!

The only method of defeating terrorism is by terrorizing the terrorist more than they can terrorize you. It is like a bully in a school yard, if you cower to their will they will continue to reign terror on you and extort your resources until you are worthless.
To Terrorize the terrorists does not necessarily mean violence, it means showing them the true glory of Christianity, the bright light of hope and by winning the hearts and minds of those who support terrorists will remove an enemies ability to finance further terror.

A year ago today 52 innocent people died in the London bombings the men that actually did this were British Muslims. In UK Muslims are constantly complaining that the government is not doing enough for them. I think we should send them all back to were they came from and not let any in, that way we would be a lot safer.
We had a 2 minute silence but I couldn't believe what I saw on TV Il never forget it, I was just proud to see people in London getting on with their daily activities.

you can't, the void will keep getting filled whether it's an Islamic extremest, or some angry McVeigh type, or a ticked off Irishman, some nut job anti abortion christian, I could go on and on, but my point is terrorism will forever be a part of humanity so my answer is be vigilant and if you see something suspicious call the authorities. That's all you can do but it will not end terrorism.

there is nothing that you can do... in my opinion when Bush started war in IRAQ he just opened huge can of worms.. now everyone hates americans, and rest of the world... it will never stop.. like when you have a controversial subject, there are both sides to a stroy and everyone thinks they are right, but there might not be right or wrong... Look at northern Irland, protestants and christians were fighting for what? religion? religion does say to kill? to hate others? I do not beleive so.. It is just the world that we do live in and there is nothing that we can do to change it... And wars like Bush started are not helping in any way, they are just promoting hate and violence in my opinion... especially when truth is hiden and we are there for all the wrong reasons...

I Support our Military 100%, and I send continuous E-mails to the morons of our so-called media and so-called governing officials stating that they need to shut their stinking anti-American sedition and in many cases treason committing mouths, and either support our troops or leave the country.

the goal of terrorism is to instill fear in its victims. as long as we allow the government to steal our freedoms in the name of security we will remain in the grip of terrorists. we win when we do not succumb to fear, we win when we stop funding them by buying their god-forsaken oil. bio-fuel is one of our tickets to freedom and the one plant that can out produce corn by a factor of 10 and trees by a factor of 2.5 is industrial hemp. no other plant has the range of growing climates or the sheer mass of cellulose per acre that hemp does, so, to repeat the government's cry of 1942 "Hemp for Victory!"
