For the same reason that men do it. It's common for humans to stereotype and group things together. "I got bitten by a pitbull, so all pitbulls are bad". It's just human nature to react that way. To shy away from things that we've proven have the ability to hurt us.

because it's easier to blame a whole gender because it helps them think in terms of "us" verses "them" and they might still have feelings for the one guy that hurt them so they want to blame it on the nature of men. OR, they have been hurt by several men and then generalize and think that all of them are like that. In my opinion, most of this is caused because women are extremely attracted to "Bad-boys" so they are always going after the wrong guy and then are continuously getting hurt for their dumb decisions in mate selection.

i have to agree with guardian angelic, they all do appear to be the same way and want the same things. They all think with there penis and not their brain. Sorry hun, if us men bashers offend you, maybe we just can't find the "few good men" that are out there.
