I returned from Iraq in december and I just got a carpentry apprenticeship that hasnt started yet. Took me forever to get this But, my benefits will run out in another 3 weeks and my local unemployment office in Indiana said that extensions aren't available? Maybe in my situation as a veteran I can draw benefits for a little while longer?? I hope..I'm just not sure what department I need to contact..there are so many

Unemployment benefits are controlled by the state. No department in the federal government can help you. Suggest you get a short term job to hold you over until your apprenticeship begins. Try security or some other job. Good luck and thanks for your service!
