There is a spray available that you can spray on individual items, (furniture, headsets, shoes, etc..) that will deter the cat from chewing on anything.
It doesn't have an unpleasant odor, and is mostly detectable to the cat/
It is available in most pet stores or feed stores. (animal supply). Sometimes Vets have it, too.
The one available in our area is called, "Feliway", by Comfort Zone.
They say when cats chew on stuff, they're relieving stress or boredom. So it comforts the cat. There are also herbal spray remedies available.
It also stops male cats from marking furniture and curtains.
You do not spray it ON the cat, only on the object.
It's about $5-7 a bottle.
I haven't found it in Wal Mart or KMart. I found it in my local TSC store. (Tractor Supply).
Good Luck ! It really works!

Some cats are prone to chewing. Mostly if they have teeth coming in. The only sure fire way that I know of is to use an anti chewing spray found at most pet supply places. It tastes pretty bad and they get the idea. Good luck!!

you find a toy it really likes -a chew toy- make sure it always has one where the cat can get to it & then start popping it with a rolled up piece of newspaper (the noise scares them), everytime it heads for whatever you don't want it to mess with. pop it (don't hit it hard, you can do great physical damange to the cat if you do.).

start keeping your headsets in a place where the cat can't get at them. that's easiest for you and easiest for the cat.

simple! keep the items you know she likes to chew up and away from her like you would with a toddler. i know that if i leave photographs or tape or rubberbands out my cats will chew them and then i have no one to blame but myself. get her some ct nip filled toys or make your own out of infant socks stuffed with dry cat nip and sew up the top of sock. you can make little cat nip stuffed pillows out of felt or fabric that you might already have around your house. get her kitty condo and other toys to keep her occupied elsewhere.
ps. dont hit your cat no matter who tells you to or how long they've had cats. don't roll up anything to hit your little kitty with.
would you like a giant to hit you with his rolled up magazine or newspaper?

Put them somewhere she can't get to them. Ours LOVES those foamy little ear pieces. He would also chew any fine wires and after 3 sets, we went to wireless.
