Recently there was a very large industrial fire in Western Sydney. The smoke contained aerosols and paint thinners and made me quite nauseous. 2 weeks after this fire I am now experiencing the worst asthma I've had in 20 years. I'm interested in possible reasons for a delayed reaction between exposure to the cloud of toxics and an asthmatic response. I wonder if the industrial pollution (which recirculates around Sydney 'forever', given the way air flows throughout the Sydney Basin):
1. changes composition via exposure to sunlight, and becomes more irritative to lungs;
2. mixes with other pollutants and generates other more irritative chemical compounds??

Possible Reasons-Asthma and Allergies are the bodies reaction to something. A cold takes about 2 week for the body to deal with. If the body is reacting to a trigger may take a while. I am allergic to dogs and it builds up in my system and the longer I am exposed the longer my recovery.
