Jesus gave his disciples the power to forgive sins on Easter Sunday. He conferred the power by breathing on the Apostles. Jesus gives the disciples the authority to forgive and NOT TO FORGIVE. This means a priest has to hear the sins in order to know whether to forgive them or hold them bound. Catholics always confess their sins to God. We do it directly and through His ministers. In James 5:13-16 James makes clear that the sins of the sick are forgiven in the sacrament of anointing. He specifies that the priests must be called. Did you know this?

Yes I did know this. Thanks for sharing it with everyone. Another verse I'd like to add as far as God's instructions for confession go:

James 5:16 (New American Standard Bible)
Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much.

James chapter 5

14 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

This passage doesn't say anything about forgiving sins on Easter Sunday. And it mentions nothing about priests. Confessing your faults one to another implies you are asking other people to pray for you and help you, not forgive you. You seem to be adding a lot of stuff I don't see there.

You didn't take the subject with you when you read this verse.
It is talking about healing. If you are sick, have the elders anoint you with the oil (olive oil), have the elders pray for your recovery.
The sick should also pray and have faith. God has the the ability to forgive. You pray to God and ask in Jesus' name.
Act 2:38
Act 13:37-41, It is talking about Jesus.

new testamant my brother. Nobody comes to the Father except by the son of Jesus the Christ. Not by a priest. what if you live in an area where there are no priests. Are you just screwed or what? I talk to Jesus everyday, and confess my sins to him directly.

Easter is great. Imagine a christian holiday based on the lunar cycle! LOL! And some christians are actually stupid enough to think it wasn't a usurped pagan holiday! What a bunch of morons they all are!
