I base my life around the BIBLE. I want to see real proof that GOD does not exist. The bible has been proven by Christians and non-christians. There are more recorded 2000 findings that peope saw Jesus after he rose from the dead. The big bang theory is just that, a theory. I just want to know that the BIBLE that I base my life around is 100% truth.

Well even if the big bang theory was true, it doen't mean that God didn't do it that way. The first book of the Bible may be considered inspired but some of the stories have been passed on from generation to generation before Moses wrote it. The important thing in the Old Testament is the relationship between God and man, not how God made the physical (my opinion). You can't forget the prophecies of the coming Messiah in the Old Testament also.
Anyway, the places I've been, Oman, Jordan, Egypt and Iraq; only supports my belief in the Bible even more. When you see the places, it makes it a lot more understandable and believeable.

I can prove that the bible is not 100% correct: There are more species in this world than could fit on the ark. Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago. The Earth is several billion years old.

There may be 2000 findings that people saw Jesus after the was resurrected, but I there are far more than 200 people who will claim they've seen Elvis since his demise.

The Big Bang theory is, indeed, a theory. However, the way you say that leads me to believe that you do not actually know what a scientific theory is. In short, a theory is the general or abstract principles of a body of fact, a science, or an art . That's in the dictionary.

The bible is 100 percent true. But much of it is not to be taken literally (the universe wasn't created in a week). The big bang theory could be correct too. God could have created the universe by creating a huge explosion. Science without religion, or religion without science is stupid. The big bang theory doesn't discredit the bible, it just explains how God created the universe. If anything it proves that the bible is true (It would take a really powerful being to create an explosion that massive).

I believe in God and Jesus. I do not believe in the bible, yes it does have historical information in it that is true but it is not the only source of much of this historical information. I do not believe in the Christian dogma either.

Take the time to go to the www.sacred-texts.com web site, click on sacred texts and ancient near east. Then scroll down to Giglamish and select the Babylonian account of Giglamesh and the Deluge. On the next page scroll down about halfway to The legend of the deluge as told to Giglamesh by an ancestor and read the texts from this ancient document that is dated by science at about 4000 BCE which is far older that any of the written text of the bible. Please don't say that the bible is 6000 or 7000 years old because it does tell stories from that far back but so do these stories, they go back as far as creation also so the only proof we have is from science dating the oldest written scriptures and according to them this is older than the bible.

Notice the similarities in the stories especially the releasing of the birds and the sacrifice after the flood.

Then go back and look at the Chaldean Version of the deluge. It is not as old as the Babylonian version but it is still older than the bible; notice the similarities here the cubits of the ark, the releasing of the birds. Notice that lines 167 through 176 is very similar to this verse in the bible Ezek. xiv. 12-20.

Now can you really and logically say that it is coincidence? There is also many similarities in the Sumerian creation story (7 tablets of creation) as with genesis in the bible, there is also a Chaldean version of the tower of Babel which is older than the bible. Also note that these ancient texts speak of multiple gods.

If you study you will find out that many scholars say that the bible is a collection of these old stories and that most religions and mythologies can be traced back in origin to the sumerian tablets which are the oldest written documents on the planet. The more I have studied the more I have found this to be true. Some of the stories in the bible were taken from these pagen religions passed on orally for thousands of years before being wrote down again by the authur's of the bible and during those thousands of years the stories obviously changed. Including changing to one god and to the biblical culture and put into the bible. Don't take anyone's word for it, go check it out for yourself and make up your own mind. While your at it, study the history of how the bible was compiled and the council of Constatine.

Well it depends what you mean by "100% correct" - the Bible does not intend itself as a history textbook. There are a number of differences in the bible's own internal histories... For instance, the Chronicles and Kings books detail many of the same events, but detail them slightly differently.

Similarly, the synoptic gospels report the same sayings of Jesus, but word it differently. Clearly only one of the Mark, Luke, and Matthew accounts would be able to be a perfect recollection, which means the others by definition would have to be elaborations or reductions of the original sayings.

I think its important for people to move past bibliolatry. The Bible is not a god and should not be worshipped as though it is one. The bible is a record of the human dialogue with God, and God;s salvific economy as expressed in the person of Jesus. To look to it to be a record of cosmological science or paleobiology is to go far, far beyond what it was intended for.

Worship God alone. The bible is not a god.

There is no 100% proof that the bible is correct or not correct. If you want to base you life on a book written by men a long time ago, go ahead. You will never know the bible is 100% truth.

Make up your mind, willya? You want proof that the Bible is INCORRECT or that God does NOT EXIST. Which is it?? These are two DIFFERENT THINGS you know...

Now, if you want to know AT LEAST ONE FLAW in the Bible here's a sample: Check out the genealogy of JC... In Matthew it shows Solomon after David; while in Luke it shows Nathan after David. Solomon and Nathan were sons of David; one became a King and the other was a Prophet.

Only one of them can be right. Right?

Peace be with you!

P.S. And DON'T TELL ME that you will base your entire Faith on one or a few flaws found in the most widely read book, willya? What you need to do is change your mindset and accept certain facts... but keep the Faith!

Wouldn't it frighten you if it did? What about what God did to Job, or Abraham? Beyond that the book has been edited so many times that there is no way the original message could still be in tact. If you know anything about linguistics you know that words within one language do not always translate to another. The reality is that the Bible is a severely edited text, even the New Testament was edited, by the Romans. Look into Constantine the Roman Emperor and his council.

Logically, the report of 2000 people seeing Jesus do anything, 2000 years ago, has no weight. That is completely unverifiable. You can look through a telescope now and gather all the information to tell that the universe exploded, and approximately when that happened. You can conduct DNA research right now and determine the hereditary relationship between us and apes (and it should be obvious by inspection anyway). The Bible is incorrect because archeological evidence proves Creation is wrong. No sh*t.

Just wanted to say what a great question. Cause no one can prove God's word isn't real. If people knew the history of the bibles that was first started and how many gave their lives to keep the bible around to this day and I aint talking about these new bibles. No one died for the womens lib bible, no one died for the NIV. Read history folks to find the thruth on God's Holy Word. Then read the word of God.
