CD-R's are only good for one burn. Even if you don't fill it up, once it pops out, you can't ever put anyjmore information on it.
CD-RW are like video tapes as you can take info off, put it back on, or wipe it completely and start over numerous times. I haven't found a limit yet.
Just like any CD, if it's kept up well, you shouldn't have problems.

Cd-r's only burn once unless you have set them to burn small pieces of information and stop. CD-RW are like video tapes in the way that they can be recorded, wiped and re-recorded on .

Not that I know of. I have had several CD-Rs that are a couple of years old. They still work for me.

if not scratched or stored in excessive heat, they will last 200 years or more, you might be using the wrong speed to burn on them, or you have laser problems with your burner. Try them on someone elses computer

Get another burning software or clean the eye in side your drive.
