It's a big risk due to infection, an infection of the kidney could lead to an infection of the pancreas, leaving the possiblity that you might have to go back on the transplant list. or they might have to give drugs to keep the organ fron rejecting the patient, that might affect the other organ.

All transplant operations are risky, and the person will need anti rejection drugs for the rest of thier life. But if it is sucesssful, then the person should lead a relatively normal life after.

its a big risk as allways but can be worth it the biggest risk is of kidney infection or the body rejecting the new organ
