Darling, you could drag this out indefinitely and worry yourself silly about the mysterious white spots. I would certainly understand your worry. Or you could take, as they say, "the high ground," and do yourself a favour at the same time (because it would rid you of worrying further about it) and just go see your doctor and get it over with. If I were in your position, I would "lean into it," and just go see him. He has prescription medicine which will help that for you overnight, and we can go from there. I wish you no further worrying. Go see him. Trust me. It's the quickest path out of this. Those white spots could be more than just one issue. I am not a doctor, sooooo - off you go! I will send you a big hug and a stronger prayer than you can imagine that this will be over and done with before you put your head on your pillow this evening! Sent with love from Chris in South Portland, Maine, U.S.A. (I am 63 years old.)

the question is.. does your throat hurt?
if it hurts than you have strep throat and you need to see you doctor to get antibiotics so you can get rid of it as soon as possible.
if it is not causing you any pain, dont worry just be careful and keep an eye out. To be honest, I have white spots at the back of my mouth too and I am going to an EP (mouth specialist) for it. I had strep twice in February and its now gone but my one tonsil is still pretty big and i have the dots so im getting it checked out. Just wait a week or so and if it has not gotten better or its gotten worse, I recommend seeing a doctor.

White spots could be bacteria. When you have Strepococenus (strep throat) you develop flem and white spots in your throught. This is just a bacteria build-up. Certainly ask your doctor about it because for all I know, it could be more than that. I am NOT a doctor, I am only 14 years old lol. But that is what I know.

You've heard it a milllion times already. I think it's strep throat. Don't believe all these people on answerology until you hear it from a doctor's mouth. He'll swab the stuff on your tongue and put it in a petri dish. Streptococcus bacteria will grow and they'll check it for a bacteria, which looks like a chain. That's strep.
I remember my mom drawing it out for me when I got strep as a kid. You'll get over it, but it takes a while. Sorry about that. I haven't gotten it since. I think there's a vaccine, don't remember.

if these white spots are bothering you (they sting or they hurt, they slur your speech, etc.), then you should see a doctor so you could relieve whatever pain you're feeling. if they don't hurt, then you can research about it first - try the internet or some books if you have medical books especially. but if i were you, i would definitely go to the doctor because these white spots may probably be a symptom to a specific disease (not exactly trying to scare you but i'm just suggesting it's pertinent that you see a doctor...). good luck. :)

Do you have a sore throat? It may be a case of strep throat or tonsilitis. If it does hurt, you should get to the dr and get put on some anti-biotics.

strep throat.
if your throat feels raw and swollen and you feel like you've got golf balls for lymph nodes. you may even have an earache from the pressure.
have a culture done and get on antibiotics....and if you're female, eat lots of yogurt while you're on the antibiotics, cause the last thing you need is strep throat with a chaser of yeast infection.

Strep throat and it's contagious so you need to get to a doctor. Strep, if left alone, will go to your lungs and cause more problems in your health.
