From the link... "This is a serious misstatement of the creationist argument. The issue is not new traits, but new genetic information. In no known case is antibiotic resistance the result of new information. There are several ways that an information loss can confer resistance, as already discussed."
Some physicist was after me on this point, saying that "language cannot evolve" - not from scratch at least (humans have innate language abilities). And this is an interesting question. 'The origin of meaning'. Biology is full of apparent meaning (information) - specific adaptations and apparent 'design' for example.
I use the terms 'meaning', 'information' and 'language' to mean roughly equivalent things.
Actually I agree with creationists for asking difficult philosophical questions (although I totally disagree with their motives for doing so). Anyway the statement that I pulled out is much more interesting than your question, which is only a vague and misguided re-phrasing of the above. How did meaning come when there was none? Creationists say... Ah... the language of God. The end.
Anyway, your call for sharing ideas is correct - no belief should require ignorance in order to be sustained. We should always engage in free and open debate about ideas.
The fact that 'Darwinism' has some unresolved difficult philosophical questions isn't grounds for creationism - its just that our current 'best' (most popular) theory isn't perfect. - In fact most of the public (atheist and xtian alike are ignorant of Darwinism).
Studying proteins you really begin to get a feel for 'how evolution works', and even though some proteins 'appear' at some point in the history of earth (novel functions 'emerge') - it is not unreasonable, I feel, to posit that those new functions were the product of evolution - Darwinian, Gouldian or otherwise - the product of a blind physical process, and not a guided act of creation. Talking about the differences between the animals is a 'straw man' if ever there was one. Understand evolution at the protein level, then at the level of the genetic regulatory network, and you understand the evolution of life on earth.
Sorry if I go on, but I know that according to your fine principles you will read and try to understand what I have written.

If evolution only creates something out of mistake, and god creates perfection; why did adam grab that apple, why did man commit sin? Why are we fighting wars today that we have been fighting for centries. Can't call the first man a mutation, that why evolution is so provable. Man former from micro organisms, and throughout the years developed what it needed to survive, eventually developing the skills to communicate, and after that; we evolved into what we are now. On top of the food chain, still fighting wars, still greedy, still stupud, still disgusting. No such thing as pefection, otherwise we would have a perfect creator. The world has changed, and so have we. If there is a god, he is not perfect either. Beings we were supposedly made to be a mirror image of him. so to your question:evolution, which is obvious to anyone with an open mind, just gave us what we needed to survive, religion may even be the reason why we're dying. example: MIDDLE EAST.

You already asked this question five minutes ago.. Against my better judgment, I'll check the links anyway.
...Time goes by...
Okay, I looked at the links. The picture of the Thompson Gazelles running around with dinosaurs got a chuckle out of me. Aside from that: I assure you that mutations do occur and that mutations can affect survival and biological success. These two simple facts can be proven in any well-equipped biology lab.

Oh my..you don't even understand the theory of evolution. Please review your nearest science book. Just as a brief synopsis, evolution works because it weeds out the really bad genetic mistakes by keeping those people/animals unable to reproduce (either through making them unattractive to other people/animals or through animals eatting the weak ones, etc).

Wow. You're crazy. Evolution is random mutation and natural selection. That is all. It looks like you're trying to give it a conscious goal of improvements.

Intelligent Design propaganda eh?
Its hard to argue against faith. Oh, and you also don't understand evolution.
No reason to answer this question as you have your mind made up.

People want to have a logical reason for everything. God does not have logical reasons. He is God the almighty. He can see and do all.

Mutations are not "mistakes". Mutations are natural, random occurrences.
