Yes he is allright, yes he helps a lot of people, but there are great artist that do not act like they are sooo sensitive that every fly that dies hurts them, and there are artist like Bono.
Plus i never heard him thanking in public to Brian Eno and that just bugs me.

No, I think he's for real.

Bono doubles as lobbyist for humanitarian causes. In Washington, Bono is more than a musician who, with his band, was recently inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Since 1999, he has been a persistent and often-successful lobbyist, persuading Republicans and Democrats, presidents and lawmakers, to provide millions to help end the scourge of AIDS, eliminate poverty in Africa and forgive Third World debt.

bono is not a poser. he has been making music about politics and trying to motivate people towards change and reform from the moment he sang his first song. yes, he is a musician, yes he is famous and using this to try and influence people but if he didn't do something positive what would we think or say about him then? Bono is using his status in a positive light, in this culture and society we do not search to the "common" person for answers we need role models with stature and it is people like Bono. i am not stating this is a good thing and the way our society should be but one must try and make the best of life's situation and Bono is doing this with his humanitarian efforts.

I don't know really. I like U2's music, but I really get annoyed at all the political rhetoric Bono spouts so much. Just shut up about it and sing, guys.

Bono is for real. He's a great man and I don't see why everyone has to question that.

He's for real. He's out there trying to make a difference, not just spewing rhetoric, like someone above mentioned. Have you been living in a cave?!?

I really don't understand what your problem or complaint is... So, I'll just side with Bono: Yes, he is.... and a homosexual!

No...just a simplistic optimist (with a lot of money and he needlessly feels guilty about that.)
