No, not weird, when I am gone for a few days I always call my cat and dog and talk to them by leaving a message on the answering machine!!

No i dont think thats weird. Wehn my family and I go on vacations we always worry about our cat. Pets are jsut part of the family and for some people who really understan that cats have feelings too, it can feel wrong for them to leave cats alone for a long time.

Yes i do find that a bit weird . I understand how pets are like family but i don't think i would buils a pet a playground or leave my vaction for an animal. Sorry different strokes for different folks.

Is this Chris from the Towson YMCA? She does that too.

The only thing I will say is that cats are more independent than dogs, so they were likely ok. Did you have someone watching them? If so, they were fine, as they can adapt better than dogs to differing levels of attention, and may have even had something of a vacation from you. (Meaning a chance for different experiences, as opposed to being sick of you.)

No you're not weird. I wish my cat had his own room. The bad thing about attaching to a pet is the fact that we frequently outlive them, making the seperation very painful.

Maybe you and your husband need to work on your personal relationship. Animals should not take the place of humans and it sounds like maybe you both are putting all of your emotional energy into an animal instead of each other.

I have a dog that has her own room. She was abused b4 we got her & she feels safer in her room. He's your cat, if you have the money & want to spend it on him, that's your business. He's a lucky cat to have such great people looking after him & loving him.
